  20. My "stamp_the_program_with_the_serial_number_and_owner_name" approach
  21. to software registration was short-lived.  A rash of new registrations
  22. cured that!  I've replaced that approach with a new "external key
  23. file" method.  Registered users of MRBackup Professional will receive
  24. a text file containing registration information.  This file will be
  25. named "MRBackup:mrbackup.key".  Unregistered copies of MRBackup will
  26. continue to have full functionality but will put up a periodic
  27. reminder to register.  The advantages of this is that I can distribute
  28. new copies of MRBackup via the usual channels and users can get the
  29. latest version without having to request an update.  Also, I don't
  30. have to maintain two variants of MRBackup (happy me!).

  33. this version of MRBackup, by e-mail or regular mail, the MRsoftware
  34. Support BBS or via phone call.
